Doran Leadership Partners was honored to have a front-row seat alongside an outstanding search committee for the national search of Chief Executive Officer at MacPhail Center for Music, a highly regarded and nationally known arts organization located in Minneapolis, MN. The extensive national search was led by Heidi Westlind and project managed by Jared Quade The search was necessitated by the retirement of the current CEO. The national reach of this search resulted in a finalist pool from various states, including Minnesota, California, Illinois, Florida, Maryland and Connecticut. Paul Babcock emerged as the ideal candidate to lead MacPhail into the future.

Paul has been an integral part of MacPhail for 36 years, most recently serving as President & COO. Paul’s deep-seated enthusiasm for MacPhail and his lifelong dedication to music make him the perfect fit for this role. Paul has played a pivotal role in building MacPhail’s current programs and partnerships and has visionary and innovative ideas for the future.

MacPhail Center for Music, founded in 1907 by William S. MacPhail, stands as the largest center for music learning and performance in the country. With over 15,000 students annually, MacPhail is honored to have a consistent 97% Net Promoter Score among students. MacPhail’s mission remains unwavering in its commitment to transforming lives and strengthening communities through inspiring music learning experiences.
