Libby Doran
Founder
Libby founded DLP with a dramatically different vision for building leadership teams — one grounded in respect and understanding, strategic rigor and a belief that the journey should be enjoyable for clients and candidates alike. It’s a vision she’s nurtured over twenty-three years in management consulting and executive search in Minneapolis, New York and Salt Lake City.
After spending her early career in international development in Washington, DC, Libby joined a boutique management consulting firm, Novations Group, to assist Fortune 1000 clients with strategy and organization development. She spent the next decade as an executive search consultant to small and mid-sized organizations, both as part of a regional firm and in her own practice. In 2010, she co-founded LymanDoran and helped guide its growth to become one of the Twin Cities’ top executive search firms.
Libby holds an MPA from Princeton University and a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College. She previously served on the boards of the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, College Possible and Northstar Education Finance. Libby is also a member of Women Presidents Organization, Women’s Leadership Council and is a Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal 2022 Women in Business honoree.
