Sophie Forest

Congratulations to our client, Bush Foundation, on welcoming Sophie Forest as Investment Officer. A national search was conducted by Doran Leadership Partners, led by Heidi Westlind, project managed by Mary Abiadal.

The Bush Foundation invests in great ideas and the people who power them in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and the 23 Native nations that share the same geography. As the complexity of Bush’s investment portfolio has increased, additional expertise in due diligence and investment monitoring and reporting were required as well as support for their ARI/PRI activity.

Sophie began her career at Cambridge Associates conducting research on sustainable impact investing before joining Upstart Co-Lab as an impact investing leader in the global creative economy. Sophie is highly mission-driven with a strong equity orientation and experience in due diligence across asset classes. She has relocated to the Twin Cities from the East Coast. Her collaborative spirit and passion for DEI will propel her forward at the Foundation.
