Most recently, Gertrude was Assistant Commissioner for the Minnesota Department of Human Services, providing leadership to address disparities in housing, behavioral health, disability services, deaf and hard of hearing, and care integration. Gertrude’s experience in nonprofit and government management, as well as her passion for making a difference in the lives of others, will support Lifeworks’ continued growth and service to the region.

Following a successful search for Principal of Vermilion, Doran Leadership Partners was re-engaged to seek talent to help execute Vermilion’s investments in family-run and founder-led businesses and partner with the management teams of portfolio companies. Prior to joining Vermilion, Vikram was in Corporate Development at Chicago-based Fortune Brands. His prior experience includes Amcor (Corporate Development), Robert W. Baird & Co. (Investment Banking) and Accenture (Management Consulting). Vikram’s proven experience in business development, deal execution and portfolio management, coupled with his cooperative and positive demeanor, will be valued assets as Vermilion builds the portfolio and the firm. Vikram and his family have relocated to Minneapolis.
