Congratulations to our friends at Second Harvest Heartland on recruiting Sarah Waite as Chief People Officer!

Sarah is the third of three new executives joining Second Harvest’s leadership team this year. For this key role, Second Harvest Heartland sought an experienced HR leader who would be a key strategic partner to the CEO, help the organization scale and innovate, and continue to elevate the organization’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. This search was led by Linda Samide and project managed by Jared Quade.

Sarah Waite is the successful candidate from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She brings deep passion for DEI and outstanding strategic human resources leadership both as a generalist and as a talent specialist. Before joining Second Harvest Heartland, Sarah held HR leadership roles at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Medtronic and Target. She was attracted to the critically important work Second Harvest Heartland is doing to end hunger and was impressed by the organization’s commitment to advancing DEI.
