Raquel Gilmer is a mission-driven executive with experience in operations, business development, talent, finance, marketing and governance. Raquel joined the DLP team because she is passionate about helping organizations find outstanding, diverse team members who will not only be great cultural additions, but will also help the organizations achieve their mission and strategic goals.
A passionate advocate for girl empowerment, Raquel is founder and CEO of Perfectly Me Living, which develops content and delivers programs designed to bring out the superhero in every kid, and inspire them to be kind, confident, smart, positive thinkers. She spent her early career in educational policy, regulation and lobbying. She has provided leadership to education-related corporate and non-profit entities, including serving as Executive Vice President/COO for Learn It Systems, a national education company that provides academic support, afterschool enrichment programs, and special education services; as National Director of Community and Business Development for Educate Online; and as Executive Director for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s OrchKids. She is a life-long resident of Baltimore, Maryland, where she resides with her husband and son. Raquel earned her undergraduate degree from Princeton University and JD from University of Virginia.
